CallReclaim
SMS Consent and Opt-Out
Last updated August 6, 2026
CallReclaim supports missed-call customer-care text messages for participating businesses. Calling a business alone does not consent to SMS. A business uses only the opt-in method shown on its business-specific page and registered in its carrier campaign. CallReclaim supports the two separately controlled methods described below; inactive or unapproved methods cannot authorize a message.
Website Request Path
The customer enters the mobile number they will call from, reads the sender-specific disclosure, and actively checks the box. The form is optional and unchecked by default. The website records the exact disclosure, time, number, source page, and a 15-minute expiration, then displays a one-time six-digit code. The customer can always call without completing the form and will receive no SMS from that call.
Exact Website Disclosure
Optional: I agree to receive one automated customer-care text from [Registered sender name] if this call is missed. If I reply, [Registered sender name] may send human customer-care replies about the same inquiry. One automated message per request; additional messages vary only if I reply. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.

Call Verification, Not Consent
During the call, the customer may enter the code shown after the web form. A signed telecommunications-provider callback must match the business, caller number, code, and call. A wrong, missing, expired, or reused code continues the voice call but authorizes no SMS.
If you requested the optional missed-call text from [Registered sender name] on the website, enter the six digit verification code shown there. This code only matches your existing web request and does not collect consent. Otherwise, stay on the line to continue your call without text messages.

Post-Miss Press-1 Path
For a business specifically configured and carrier-approved for this path, the caller first rings the business's existing public number. Only a qualified unanswered-call forward reaches the branded recovery prompt. Pressing 1 provides consent for one text about that inquiry. Pressing 2, hanging up, or giving no input declines and sends no text.
[Registered sender name] missed your call. Press 1 to receive one text about this inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Press 2 or hang up to decline.

Message Purpose
A verified website receipt or recorded Press-1 choice is consumed only for its matching missed call and authorizes one automated acknowledgment. Further messages are human replies only after the customer replies. Scheduled automated follow-ups, cold outreach, purchased lists, promotions, and unrelated bulk campaigns are outside this program.
Message Frequency
Each recorded opt-in event can produce exactly one automated missed-call text for the matching call. Further messages vary only after the customer replies and remain limited to that conversation.
Rates and Opt-Out
Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to opt out. Reply START or UNSTOP to restore only the prior conversation scope after a registered message.
Sample Message
[Participating business]: Sorry we missed your call. What can we help you with? Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
Sender and Software Provider
The participating business is the sender and decides why messages are sent. CallReclaim provides the software and processes call, consent, and message information on that business's instructions. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
